Clinical Exercise Overview

All clinical conditions require attention, consideration and moderation.

I believe that sharing, with you guys, how to exercise with these conditions will be very beneficial & could possibly increase your self efficacy.

Clinical conditions include, but not limited to:

  • In patient & out patient cardiac rehabilitation

  • Heart failure

  • Cardiac transplant

  • Lower extremity, symptomatic peripheral arterial disease

  • Stroke (cerebrovascular accident)

  • Asthma

  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

  • Diabetes

  • Dyslipidemia

  • Hypertension

  • Overweight/Obesity

  • Fibromyalgia

  • HIV

  • Down syndrome (intellectual disabilities)

  • Kidney disease

  • Multiple sclerosis

  • Osteoporosis

  • Parkinsons disease

  • Spinal cord injury

Some conditions may require an exercise test to determine exercise capabilities. Exercise tests are typically administered by a clinical exercise physiologist or doctor.
