Find your Motivation

Each & every one of us have our own motive for exercising.

For some of us it is to manage weight, for some of us it is to manage anxiety, for some it is to manage health. There are many motivating factors but they all have the same thing in common - relapse.

Relapsing into a sedentary lifestyle is something that we have all experienced. Sometimes it can be even more difficult to jump back in after some time off.

Find your motivation & prevent the relapse!

Here are some tips & tricks to avoid relapsing into a sedentary lifestyle:

Create a Buddy System

Prepare for Vacation Time

Set SMART Goals

Write Down Your Plan

Set Alarms or Alerts

BE CONSISTENT!

That last one is so important. Consistency is key because you will begin to understand, more clearly, what your body is needing. When you are in sync with your body, you are able to give it what it needs when it needs it.

Feeling tired, sluggish, can't think clearly, irritable and stiff? You know what the answer is!

My motivating factor is my mental health & preventative care - getting into shape is a bonus!

When I miss my workouts, it is very clear. My emotional state is not the best. I get so emotional over everything, guys. I stress out over the simplest of things and for some reason, exercise helps me to keep calm when I am presented with a stressful situation.

Here is why: exercise is eustress (positive stress). When the body is constantly presented with stress (increased heart rate and blood pressure) it learns how to better adapt to it. Simple explanation!

If you've read my bio, you already know all about the preventative care so we won't go any further into that just yet.

What are your motivating factors?
