Starting your program is SUPER EXCITING! But can also be a little intimidating. Here are some tips and tricks to improve your self efficacy:
Work one-on-one! Working one on one with a coach will help you ease into the setting of a group class. Learning the basics, and getting your feet wet, will give you the confidence to start trying new things - & you will know how to do it safely and effectively.
Practice! Go through the motions, without weights, until you are comfortable. Doing so in front of a mirror, or recording yourself, will be another helpful tool in learning your movement patterns. You will be able to see more clearly what you need to focus on throughout each motion. Trust me, it sticks out like a sore thumb!
Join group classes! It gives you the opportunity to see the exercise being demonstrated from a beginners level all the way up to the instructors level - this will help you with learning modifications to different movements.
Ask! Do not be afraid to ask an exercise professional for an evaluation of your form. Someone who is passionate about this field, will be more than happy to help you correct it. Actually, corrective strategies is an entire category of training in the fitness industry. You would be amazed.

We all start somewhere. Developing a social connect will be helpful when adopting a new program. Go to the group classes, make a friend & become the accountability partner that we all need so badly.
You got this!
