Ride your Motorcycle

That's right. I'm talking to my SportbikeTrackTime friends.

This post is JUST FOR YOU.

I've encountered a lot of you who have restrictions in your range of motion. This pertains to your hips and your shoulders, I hear you guys complaining about knee aches and back aches as well.

Let me just help you. There are a couple of different things to consider:

  1. Injury - Some of you experience this restriction from a former injury. If you are riding on the track I assume you have completed whatever rehabilitation you needed to treat said injury. The injury could have caused scar tissue which is limiting your range of motion - I would suggest seeing a massage therapist. On top of seeing that therapist, some stretching may be necessary to break up the tissue and increase your flexibility.

  2. Exercise - Cardio & strength training would be very helpful to get you through the track day as well as getting you through the recovery stage from a long weekend.

I know, I know. Before you shoot me down...assisted stretching and consistent exercise could be really helpful for you in this case. Let me tell you why! There are way to get a deeper, but safe, way of stretching-want to know how? Shoot me a message and we can have a conversation. Doing this over time, will eventually increase your range of motion making it easier to get that perfect BP! The same concept goes for exercise, the more you introduce your body to heavy workload, the more it can sustain and recovery time will be nearly halved.
