This is Important

Exercise IS important.

I guess you believe that's true otherwise you would not be here, right?

When we are in our 20s, we believe that we are invincible and that we can put off exercise because "we have the whole world ahead of us". There is a scary truth to this that I'm going to let you in on...

By the age of 30 years old, we begin to lose muscle fibers which means we begin to lose muscle mass. Everything that happens in the human body, typically happens in a domino effect. So by the time you are 50 years old, if you are not strength training, you have already lost a significant amount of your strength.

"If you want to be strong in your 40s, you need to train in your 20s".

I'm not sure who said it but it is so true!

Another great thing about exercising in your 20s is that it gives you time to beat neurodegenerative disease. Don't believe me? Head over to my instagram page and check out the TED talk by, neuroscientist, Wendy Suzuki. You can find the 2-minute video by looking under my Exercise Highlight. It is really cool to learn about - if you ask me.
