Hi, I'm Summer.

Updated: Jul 25, 2020

Nice to meet you! Thank you so much for checking out my page and giving me this chance to be a part of your journey.

There are a lot of exercise specialists out there these days. Some of you may be asking, "Why should I listen to this Summer girl? What does she have to offer that can benefit me?".

Well...the answer is that I can offer you the key to a healthy, longer life. We all want to live longer and healthier, right?! We all want to age gracefully, still being able to do the fun things we enjoy doing now. What usually stops us? I'll tell ya...age, decreased range of motion, decreased agility and strength, no energy and worst of all, disease(s).

Unfortunately, once you have a disease, it tends to take a snowball effect causing even more disease. My goal is to get you up and moving in order to prevent that from happening.

The knowledge that I have been provided with can help me better understand why your body is responding the way that it is and how I can change your program to adapt to YOU.

When I began the allied health program at St. Amant High School in Louisiana (2008), I found my passion and I have been chasing that dream ever since. After I graduated from high school (2010), I went into the Kinesiology program at Southeastern Louisiana University where I studied Exercise Science. During my studies, I did some volunteer work with a pediatric physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, and an occupational therapist. It was a long road finding exactly what I wanted but in 2018 I had finally found the perfect fit - preventative care. Ultimately, I finished my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Georgia State University in the summer of 2020. With the COVID pandemic, I was terrified at how the health and wellness industry would be impacted; we took a hard hit.

Preventative care is a large umbrella term that I have learned to enjoy every aspect of; especially with the importance of immune function, amongst this crazy influenza. You see, I truly believe that exercise IS medicine! It has some awesome reversing effects on disease and can prevent 13+ types of cancer from forming, it can improve cognitive function, immune function, the list goes on. My goal is to keep you healthy while also helping you to achieve your goals.
